Guest post: Joalin Loukamaa

When I found out I was going to be part of a global pop group at the age of 15 my whole life took a spin.

I was used to a daily routine that went something like this: Wake up, pack lunch, go to school, ride my bike to my dance academy and dance for 3 to 5 hours, bike back home, shower, make dinner, get my homework done, sleep. On the weekends I also danced and did extra homework. But now I was on my way to the airport to start training for a world tour.

I knew I didn’t want to have to focus on both; School & becoming a worldwide known pop star (that¨s the goal, Ilike to dream big). I had to figure something out and quick. I decided to go with the fastest and what seemed like the smartest option, finish the rest of high school in one year even tho I really had 3 years left. Did that. Travelled the world.

Now I’m turning 20 and I want to study again, it’s actually been on my mind for a while. I just hadn’t come across an option that’d allow me to keep working and go forward in my career while diving in to the world of university life. I had thought about getting a degree as a dancer but there is no option that supports the dance styles I have been learning since a kid. So that was off the list. Anything related to cinematography was also very interesting but still nothing close enough to what I was looking for.

I wanted to find an option that wouldn’t obligate me to stop creating content daily and traveling around the globe while becoming the greatest artist on the go. Then it all changed a few months ago when I was introduced to a new concept:

Influencers academy.

Influencers Academy was basically everything I had been wishing for handed to me with a smile. With IA I’ll get to learn everything from business & marketing to how to boost up my socials/personal brand and do all the studying needed while still working and traveling and at the end even get a degree. Yes you heard that right, a degree, I’ll become a professional Influencer. Sounds crazy and it’s a like dream come true honestly.

I’ll be able to study from anywhere around the world and keep focusing on my career. The best part is that I’ll be surrounded by other young people in the same industry and also learn and grow with them. I’m nervous and excited. This is a new chapter in my life and I can’t wait for it to start.
